Thank you for your passion for agriculture and rural communities

I want to thank you for reading, suggesting articles and otherwise caring about rural America with me for the last 18 years.  Last summer I announced I was stepping down from my role as Executive Director for State Agriculture and Rural Leaders this summer.  I will continue to serve legislators in the Midwest as Agriculture Liaison for the Council of State Governments-Midwest, and in several legislative rural caucuses.  I hope to continue to find ways to advocate for agriculture and rural communities as I identify what I want to do in the next chapter of my life.  After 25 years of college teaching, 18 years in policy work and 30 years of sharing farming duties with my husband, I find our farm is taking more time, and I need new challenges.

I will work with the legislative members of the Midwestern Legislative Conference to identify how I can best service their information needs and if some sort of news resource is their request, I will make sure Ag Clips subscribers get it as well.  Whomever the SARL board selects to replace me may identify their own ways to make sure ag news gets out to members and others, they will begin their role the first of August.

Stay passionate about agriculture and rural America, and let me know if I can help you in those efforts.
